At 7 minutes walking distance from the “Zuidas” business district you will find this semi free standing house alongside a canal with reeds, waterlilies, carps, ducks, herons and crayfish. Idyllic, if it were not for its close connection with modern city life. Unique, because in the wide surroundings there is no comparable object of this size and sunny location. A real treasure!
Built in 2007 with the best of materials and architect-designed. Playful designing stood at its origin. You will find this reflected in the gored walls and the surprisingly styled windows. The impressive garden has also been architect-designed by the first owners, who currently have put the property on the market because they are moving abroad.

As already mentioned, the property is located at 7 minutes walking distance from the business district “Zuidas”. It also is at 3 minutes walking distance from the modern shopping centre “Gelderlandplein”. Schiphol Airport is at 7 train minutes from the “Zuidas”. Notwithstanding this location, it is still a very quiet place, hidden behind the Public Library and a strip of public garden. There are schools in the vicinity, including the AICS (Amsterdam International Community School). The medical centre of VU-University is at 15 minutes walking distance, as is the “Amstelpark”. The extended parks of the “Amsterdamse Bos” are at 15 minutes cycling distance. In short, an excellent place to live, close to work and all services required and still with a sense of being in the countryside.

The high ceilings and windows give a lot of light and outside experience. On the ground floor with underfloor heating are the doors to the surrounding garden, which is architect – designed and facing the water. The house is in excellent condition both inside and out. On the ground floor are the hall, toilet, utility room, living room of approximately 50 m² and the custom-made kitchen with all necessary equipment and adjacent dining area. On the first floor are the three spacious bedrooms and the large bathroom with designer jacuzzi and separate shower. Here too, the high ceilings give a special feeling of space.
The first owners haven’t spared any trouble or expense to beautify the interior: an Italian design Snaidero kitchen, Miele apparatus including a fridge, induction hob, wok burner, oven and steam oven, a Villeroy & Boch egg-shaped bath with jets, a natural stone/rosewood sink, luxury tiles in the bathroom, marble floors throughout, tailormade sliding door cupboards, a rosewood bookcase etc.
There is a parking space in ownership at the underground parking garage under the complex. Additional parking permits can be obtained from the City Council.

MVA neighbourhood information: Buitenveldert-West

Buitenveldert is the most southern part of Amsterdam South. The neighbourhood has a lot of contrasts. Buitenveldert characteristics itself by the amount of space and green facilities available in the area. There are many facilities and shopping centre for example the Gerderlandplaza. The houses are relatively big and the neighbourhood has many above-average aged people. The neighbourhood scores well on the safety scale. Although the safety is good, the social cohesion isn’t that strong. The Zuidas part of Amsterdam is a dynamic area, which is in full development. Originally the focus was on making this part of Amsterdam a high level office complex, but now the focus is more on making it a residential area. There aren’t that many inhabitants yet, but the new building concepts are designed to improve that. There will be an elementary school and several other facilities available, which will make this part of Amsterdam a unique location.

Amsterdam is the largest Dutch city, the capital of the Netherlands, and the nation's financial, business, cultural and commercial capital as well. Since its founding in the 12th century, Amsterdam has evolved from a small fishing village into one of the most important ports in the world during the Dutch Golden Age. Museums like the Rijksmuseum, the Van Gogh and the Stedelijk also give Amsterdam serious cultural credibility. Amsterdam's compact size, cycling lifestyle, diverse population (more than 170 nationalities), English-speaking natives, abundance of green space, reliable public transportation system and central location within Europe mean it's not only a great place to visit, but also a great place to live.
