This ready-to-move-in house has a luxury kitchen and bathroom, 2 good-sized bedrooms and a wonderfully bright living room with unobstructed views at the front and rear. The house has high ceilings of up to 290 cm. At the rear, you can enjoy the morning sun on your balcony adjacent to the living room.

The Westerpark is literally around the corner and the Erasmus Park is also close by. Various shops and supermarkets can be found nearby as well as nice bars and restaurants such as Mossel & Gin, Café Restaurant Amsterdam and the Westergasterras. You are within 10 minutes from the lively centre of Amsterdam by bike. There are stops for tram and bus in the immediate vicinity and Amsterdam Sloterdijk Station is nearby. There is good access to the A10 ring road by car. The website of the Municipality of Amsterdam indicates that there is currently no waiting list for applying for a parking permit.

You reach the apartment on the first floor via the communal staircase. The spacious hall provides access to all rooms such as the 2 bedrooms, bathroom, separate toilet and living room. The spacious dual-aspect living room is wonderfully bright due to the large windows and this is where is the stylish kitchen is located, in matte white with ceramic marble-look countertop. From the kitchen you can walk onto the nicely decorated balcony with lounge corner. In the mornings you can enjoy the sun here from sunrise to 11:00 am. On the balcony at the front you will have the sun all afternoon until sunset. A lovely place to enjoy a cup of coffee or a glass of wine.

The large bedroom at the front offers plenty space for an extra workplace and is of course fitted with double glazing. The 2nd bedroom at the rear is also large enough for a double bed. The luxurious bathroom has a bath, designer radiator, custom-made washbasin, and a spacious walk-in shower.

When we first entered the house, the atmosphere of the apartment with its high ceilings and beautiful light immediately appealed to us. Over the years we have continued to improve the house by renewing the bathroom, installing a separate toilet and a new kitchen. Not a day has passed that we have not enjoyed living here.

What appeals to us in the area are the many facilities. There are good specialty shops that have been delivering quality for many years, such as Rijkhoff patisserie, van der Heijden bakery and the Volendam fish shop, as well as new initiatives such as the Nieuwe Boekhandel (book shop) and the restaurants Samen and Abbey. After we had our children, we also discovered the many beautiful playgrounds and the Gibraltar open air swimming pool. The Westerpark and Erasmus Park are a short distance away and are our favourite places to go. We have lived here with a lot of love and hope that new residents will enjoy living here as much as we have.

Amsterdam is the largest Dutch city, the capital of the Netherlands, and the nation's financial, business, cultural and commercial capital as well. Since its founding in the 12th century, Amsterdam has evolved from a small fishing village into one of the most important ports in the world during the Dutch Golden Age. Museums like the Rijksmuseum, the Van Gogh and the Stedelijk also give Amsterdam serious cultural credibility. Amsterdam's compact size, cycling lifestyle, diverse population (more than 170 nationalities), English-speaking natives, abundance of green space, reliable public transportation system and central location within Europe mean it's not only a great place to visit, but also a great place to live.

Buying an apartment in Amsterdam is different from buying a house or a detached villa. In case of an apartment, you do not only have neighbours to your left and right, but often also above or underneath you. That means the ground on which the property is located belongs to multiple people. This can lead to complications when you’re trying to figure out the extra costs before buying the apartment.
