Description

Very charming and high quality finished apartment of approx 36 m2 with a separate bedroom!

During the renovation of this house much attention was paid to the details and finishing. Throughout the apartment is an oak floor and there are Maretti spotlights. There is also underfloor heating which can be regulated per room. Furthermore, a very efficient layout has been chosen.

Layout
Entrance, you enter on the 3rd floor. The living room is characterized by the ceiling height (about 3 meters) and the large windows. The apartment enjoys an abundance of natural light. The open kitchen is equipped with all kinds of appliances such as a combination microwave, refrigerator and freezer, dishwasher and induction hob.
The bedroom is located at the rear of the house. The bathroom has a large walk-in shower and a custom made oak washbasin with washbasin. A nice detail are the brass taps. There are also a separate toilet and a closet for washer and dryer.

Surroundings
The house is centrally located in Amsterdam South; in the cozy Pijp with stunning views over the Amstel River and near the Albert Cuyp market, the Utrechtsestraat, the child-friendly Sarphatipark, the beautiful Oosterpark and the Amstel Quarter. De Pijp is very popular because of the diversity of restaurants, charming stores and nice cafes. The train stations Amstel, Rai and Zuid are a short cycling distance and offer good connections to Schiphol Airport for example. Both the North South line and the East line are nearby. The apartment is convenient to drive to from the A10 and A2 and there is relatively easy parking.

The Amsteldijk
The Amsteldijk is located outside the former city walls of Amsterdam and until 1896 only the part North of the current Ceintuurbaan was within the municipal boundaries (the remaining part was in the municipality of Nieuwer-Amstel, now Amstelveen). Previously the Amsteldijk was called "Utrechtsezijde", which name was still used until around the beginning of the twentieth century, even after "Amsteldijk" was established as the official name. At the beginning of the Amsteldijk (as seen from the city) the barge used to leave for Utrecht.

More information

MVA neighbourhood information: Nieuwe Pijp

De Pijp is vibrant and very much on its way up. As can be expected of an area that is centred on the nation’s most famous outdoor market Albert Cuypmarkt, this Amsterdam neighbourhood is famously diverse with over 150 nationalities represented. By the time the NZ-lijn underground metro is finished, De Pijp’s gentrification process should be complete with the always strong student population giving way to yet more families of young creatives and professionals. Albert Cuypmarkt Yes indeed: the Albert Cuypmarkt is not only the ‘kitchen of Amsterdam’ but also the place to witness the city in action. There are also many hidden treats to be discovered: innovative buildings built on the principles of Theosophy.

Amsterdam

Amsterdam is the largest Dutch city, the capital of the Netherlands, and the nation's financial, business, cultural and commercial capital as well. Since its founding in the 12th century, Amsterdam has evolved from a small fishing village into one of the most important ports in the world during the Dutch Golden Age. Museums like the Rijksmuseum, the Van Gogh and the Stedelijk also give Amsterdam serious cultural credibility. Amsterdam's compact size, cycling lifestyle, diverse population (more than 170 nationalities), English-speaking natives, abundance of green space, reliable public transportation system and central location within Europe mean it's not only a great place to visit, but also a great place to live.

Apartments

Buying an apartment in Amsterdam is different from buying a house or a detached villa. In case of an apartment, you do not only have neighbours to your left and right, but often also above or underneath you. That means the ground on which the property is located belongs to multiple people. This can lead to complications when you’re trying to figure out the extra costs before buying the apartment.
