Amstelveenseweg 683 – Unique house by Amsterdamse Bos with extremely luxury finishes

Situated in the most beautiful spot in Buitenveldert, exactly midway between Zuidas and Amsterdamse Bos, is this unique building with a layout and styling that seem to come straight from a magazine. Picture perfect, inside and out. Its ocean of living space, exceptional luxury finishes, a bounty of bonus features and a super-fabulous garden with an unobstructed view of the green surroundings make this the perfect place to live the good life.

Truly extraordinary
The longer you look at the pictures or walk around in the house, the more you will discover. From the playful split-level to the exposed brick wall and stunning Nolte kitchen which is partially integrated in the staircase that leads upstairs. As well as large windows, boasting slender frames so that the boundary between the indoors and outdoors seem to melt away, all deserve special mention. Especially because there are no neighbors at the back, so that optimum privacy is guaranteed.

Ground floor
Walk in straight to the kitchen/lounge with the bay window at the front. There is plenty of room for a large dining table. The chef's island forms the transition from the dining room to the sitting room. The sitting area is slightly sunken, and its ceiling soars to over 3.5 meters. This space opens to a lovely terrace, which is made of steel and composite material and gives directly to the garden. There is ample storage space beneath the terrace.

The professionally landscaped garden exudes serenity, is low-maintenance and is automatically irrigated with water from the creek. The outdoor kitchen is fitted with a barbecue and a sink, so that the garden is truly a fully-functional extension of the home.

The Nolte kitchen is an eye-catcher, with an stunning color scheme, composite countertop and luxury Siemens appliances. Appliances include a Quooker, 4-burner induction cooker with integrated extraction, steam oven + combination microwave, refrigerator + freezer compartment and of course, a dishwasher. As you're cooking, or simply hanging out at the island with a glass of wine, you are at the heart of the home and look out toward the gorgeous garden and the natural landscape beyond.

The sitting area leads to the basement. Here is another intimate sitting area with an awesome exposed brick wall - this space can also be transformed into an extra bedroom. The combination of the robust elements with the cast flooring that is featured on the entire level is stunning. No cold feet, because the entire home has comfortable underfloor heating throughout. Below the living room is an enormous storage space spanning ca. 16 sqm with a ceiling height of 0.92 m. The contours of the bay window are repeated in the bedroom, which also features an exposed brick wall. A daylight panel makes it seem as though the room has direct daylight entry. The bedroom connects directly to the luxury bathroom with a walk-in shower, sink and a toilet. The basement also includes a utility room with the fittings for the laundry station.

1st floor
The 1st floor also showcases a beautiful combination of the home's original architectural details and sophisticated industrial elements. This level accommodates 3 large bedrooms, 1 with a glass facade and a balcony. Wake up in the primary bedroom and look out over the trees - quite special, particularly because the home is in Amsterdam. The elegant bathroom - with the same cast flooring as the basement - is equipped with a double shower, wide vanity and a bathtub.

Amstelveenseweg leads all the way through to Stadionplein in Amsterdam-Zuid- just a 6-minute bike ride away. On the way, you will pass countless good restaurants. Shop in and enjoy some downtime in Zuidas and visit the weekly weekend market or the coffee bars on Olympiaplein, which is just around the corner. There are also plenty of places to grab a cup of Java in Amsterdamse Bos, as well as a swimming pontoon, a goat farm, escape to Spa Zuiver for a day of full relaxation, go climbing in Fun Forest, play field hockey, go rowing, sailing, play tennis... the options are endless. The area offers it all. The A10 beltway is also nearby. Schiphol is a 15-minute drive away, and Haarlem, Utrecht, ’t Gooi and Leiden are less than a half hour from the home. It doesn't get any more central than this.

MVA neighbourhood information: Buitenveldert-West

Buitenveldert is the most southern part of Amsterdam South. The neighbourhood has a lot of contrasts. Buitenveldert characteristics itself by the amount of space and green facilities available in the area. There are many facilities and shopping centre for example the Gerderlandplaza. The houses are relatively big and the neighbourhood has many above-average aged people. The neighbourhood scores well on the safety scale. Although the safety is good, the social cohesion isn’t that strong. The Zuidas part of Amsterdam is a dynamic area, which is in full development. Originally the focus was on making this part of Amsterdam a high level office complex, but now the focus is more on making it a residential area. There aren’t that many inhabitants yet, but the new building concepts are designed to improve that. There will be an elementary school and several other facilities available, which will make this part of Amsterdam a unique location.

Amsterdam is the largest Dutch city, the capital of the Netherlands, and the nation's financial, business, cultural and commercial capital as well. Since its founding in the 12th century, Amsterdam has evolved from a small fishing village into one of the most important ports in the world during the Dutch Golden Age. Museums like the Rijksmuseum, the Van Gogh and the Stedelijk also give Amsterdam serious cultural credibility. Amsterdam's compact size, cycling lifestyle, diverse population (more than 170 nationalities), English-speaking natives, abundance of green space, reliable public transportation system and central location within Europe mean it's not only a great place to visit, but also a great place to live.
