In short: itís a lovely apartment in a prime location!

Location and accessibility
Watergraafsmeer is a young and lively area and very popular with young families. Although a wonderfully quiet place to live, it is still just 15 minutes from the centre of Amsterdam by bicycle. Good-quality amenities are within easy reach and the apartment is also in close proximity to a wide range of shops, supermarkets, welcoming terraces, restaurants and parks. The apartment is also served by various local sports facilities, schools and nurseries. There are a number of day-trip options close at hand too: Artis, the Tropenmuseum and the Hortus Botanicus botanical garden. Various stations, tram and bus connections and arterial roads like the A1, A2, A9 and A10 are easy to access as well.

Ground floor:
The apartmentís beautiful front door opens into a hallway. At the front of the property, there is a study, which would work equally well as a bedroom. This room has a wardrobe/ storage space and is also where the apartmentís central-heating boiler has been installed. The next room is a separate toilet with a washbasin. The hallway also gives access to the luxury open-plan kitchen, which has a cooking island with a number of built-in appliances. The spacious, bright living room extends from the front of the apartment to the back, where there is a delightful balcony/terrace. The apartmentís back garden, which measures approx. 115 m≤, is possible to access via two separate French doors. The garden was created by a garden designer and has a shed and electrical connections. A beautiful wooden floor with underfloor heating has been laid throughout the entire ground floor of the apartment.

Lower ground floor:
All of the rooms on the lower ground floor are accessed via stairs that lead to the large landing on this floor. The lower ground floor has a ceiling height of more than 2 metres. The landing has storage space and also space for a washing machine and tumble dryer. The apartmentís mechanical ventilation can be found here too. There are two beautiful big bedrooms at the back of the property on this floor. Both of these rooms have two good windows, because of which both benefit from plenty of natural light. The bathroom is centrally-located on this floor and has a shower, bath, double washbasin, toilet and electric underfloor heating. A further two good bedrooms are located at the front of the property. The last room on this floor is currently being used as a walk-in-closet. The lower ground floor has been laid with a wooden floor throughout and fitted with recessed spotlights.

The Archimedesweg
A famous Greek mathematician and physicist (287-212 BC); he is known for Archimedeís principle, which states that that any body completely or partially submerged in a fluid (gas or liquid) at rest is acted upon by an upward, or buoyant, force, the magnitude of which is equal to the weight of the fluid displaced by the body. Originally in the municipality of Watergraafsmeer and called the Langeweg, the street became part of the city of Amsterdam and its name was changed to the Archimedesweg (Rb. Watergraafsmeer 26-4-1901; source: Stadsatlas Amsterdam).

Amsterdam is the largest Dutch city, the capital of the Netherlands, and the nation's financial, business, cultural and commercial capital as well. Since its founding in the 12th century, Amsterdam has evolved from a small fishing village into one of the most important ports in the world during the Dutch Golden Age. Museums like the Rijksmuseum, the Van Gogh and the Stedelijk also give Amsterdam serious cultural credibility. Amsterdam's compact size, cycling lifestyle, diverse population (more than 170 nationalities), English-speaking natives, abundance of green space, reliable public transportation system and central location within Europe mean it's not only a great place to visit, but also a great place to live.

Buying an apartment in Amsterdam is different from buying a house or a detached villa. That means the ground on which the property is located belongs to multiple people. This can lead to complications when you’re trying to figure out the extra costs before buying the apartment.
