Well laid out 3-room apartment of over 60 m, with sleeping loft and a sunny south-east facing balcony with fantastic views! The house is part of the striking Albert complex on KNSM Island and is located on the 5th and 6th floor (with the entrance on the 4th floor). This is also the top floor (so no upstairs neighbors). This can be reached by lift. In the basement, the house has a private storage room.

Via the communal hall with elevator, you cross the gallery on the fourth floor towards the front door.

4th floor: Entrance apartment, hall with stairs to the 5th floor.

5th floor: Landing with video intercom and staircase to the sleeping loft. Bright living room with oak floor, charming skylight and a lovely balcony with a beautiful view of the water. The closed (living) kitchen is equipped with a kitchen unit and offers enough space for a breakfast table to start the day quietly. Spacious storage cupboard where the HR boiler is installed. The spacious bathroom has a shower, sink and washing machine connection, washbasin furniture, design radiator and toilet. The bedroom is also large, with enough space for a large wardrobe and a work area.

6th floor: Large sleeping loft of approximately 34 m floor space with a Velux skylight. This area does not include the living area of ??60 m, as the headroom is lower than 2 meters, see map and measurement report.

The apartment is well maintained and well worth a visit!

Finally, there is a private storage room of 8 m in the basement.

The urban design of the KNSM island is by Jo Coenen. The combination of special architecture, living on the water and the facilities in the area make living on the island very pleasant. The island has a shopping center with mainly trendy shops, the more practical Brazil shopping center is within walking distance. There is a wide choice of catering facilities.
Directly in front of the Albert complex there is a bathing jetty where residents can enjoy the sun and swim all day long. You can cycle to, for example, Central Station or the city center within 10 minutes. There is public transport (tram 7 and bus 65 and 42) and the ring A10 can be reached within a few minutes via the Piet Hein tunnel.

Sporenburg is an artificial island that was built during the 19th century. The area owes its name to the use of railroad territory by the Dutch railroads. Since the 1990s the area has been redeveloped into a residential area. The neighbourhood has some architectural eye-catchers such as - the red bridges and The Sphinx, a massive residential complex which had to attract families with children to the area.

Amsterdam is the largest Dutch city, the capital of the Netherlands, and the nation's financial, business, cultural and commercial capital as well. Since its founding in the 12th century, Amsterdam has evolved from a small fishing village into one of the most important ports in the world during the Dutch Golden Age. Museums like the Rijksmuseum, the Van Gogh and the Stedelijk also give Amsterdam serious cultural credibility. Amsterdam's compact size, cycling lifestyle, diverse population (more than 170 nationalities), English-speaking natives, abundance of green space, reliable public transportation system and central location within Europe mean it's not only a great place to visit, but also a great place to live.

Buying an apartment in Amsterdam is different from buying a house or a detached villa. In case of an apartment, you do not only have neighbours to your left and right, but often also above or underneath you. That means the ground on which the property is located belongs to multiple people. This can lead to complications when you’re trying to figure out the extra costs before buying the apartment.
