Bentveld is a small village that lies in the municipalities of Zandvoort and Bloemendaal and is a relatively small village in North Holland. The central point of the village originated from the Groot Bentveld estate. From the 17th century onwards, the village has been developing. The name Bentveld originally means 'field with a growth of Bent'. Bent is a common name that is used for a kind of grass, which is long and small like a pipe. It used to be used as roofing.
