The apartment was completely renovated in 2016 and the foundations were renewed in 2006. One of the most striking features is the huge amount of light streaming in. Apart from the large windows, the apartment also has two good-sized bedrooms, a modern, open-plan kitchen, and a large living room overlooking the Funenpark.

The Home Owners’ Association (VvE) “De Plataan” in Amsterdam is professionally managed. The monthly service charges are €131,86 and there are a multiyear maintenance plan and Rules of Procedure. All the window frames have been replaced and include HR+ glazing.

Entrance on the ground floor with the well-maintained staircase leading to the third floor: the private hall is where you will find the separate toilet and it gives access to the living on the third floor. This exceptionally light living area has a cosy sitting room at the back and the modern, open-plan kitchen at the front of the building. The sitting room features two broad, ceiling-height windows offering unobstructed views of the green park. The kitchen has three large windows that overlook the Blankenstraat.

The modern kitchen is furnished with high-gloss units/drawers (handle-free) with a wooden worktop and various built-in appliances.

Adjacent to the kitchen are the open wooden stairs leading to the upper floor with the bedrooms.

The compact landing gives access to the two bedrooms and the bathroom. Additionally, there is a built-in closet with the meters and the central heating installation.

The bedrooms are at the front and back of the building. The front room includes a large built-in closet with white goods connections.

The bathroom is of a good size, with grey flooring and white walls, and includes a second toilet, a shower, and a washbasin.

The entire apartment has HR+ glazing and wooden flooring.

The property is situated in the Czaar Peter area on the outskirts of the city centre and is adjacent to the Oostelijke Eilanden, the bustling Amsterdam Oost urban district and the beautiful Plantage area. There is no shortage of trendy cafés, bars and restaurants close to the apartment. On the former Stork site, you will find Café Roest and the trendy Rosa en Rita restaurant. Brouwerij het IJ, the De Kop van Oost bar and restaurant, the Fondue Oost restaurant, the Theater Amsterdam, Artis zoo, the Hortus Botanicus botanical garden and the National Maritime Museum (Scheepvaartmuseum) are all within easy reach too. The apartment benefits from a number of local shops that can cater for all of your everyday shopping needs and the welcoming Dappermarkt is just a short walk away as well. MVA neighbourhood information: Oostelijke Eilanden/Kadijken

This area is known as the quiet part of Amsterdam Centrum. Amsterdam East is an environmentally friendly area with canals and important cultural buildings. These characteristics make this part of Amsterdam ideal as a residential area. Unlike downtown this area consists of many young couples who are starting with their careers. East and the eastern islands and the old harbor-area is still relatively vacant, but that will change in the upcoming years with the Weesper- and Plantagebuurt still in development.

Amsterdam is the largest Dutch city, the capital of the Netherlands, and the nation's financial, business, cultural and commercial capital as well. Since its founding in the 12th century, Amsterdam has evolved from a small fishing village into one of the most important ports in the world during the Dutch Golden Age. Museums like the Rijksmuseum, the Van Gogh and the Stedelijk also give Amsterdam serious cultural credibility. Amsterdam's compact size, cycling lifestyle, diverse population (more than 170 nationalities), English-speaking natives, abundance of green space, reliable public transportation system and central location within Europe mean it's not only a great place to visit, but also a great place to live.

That means the ground on which the property is located belongs to multiple people. This can lead to complications when you’re trying to figure out the extra costs before buying the apartment.
