In one word: amazing. There really is no other word to describe this ultramodern detached villa at the Cannenburgh 1 with a basement and garage/shed, designed by Piet Boon. Words fail to describe this wonderfully extended house, originally built in 2012. We will be happy to show you around.
Upon entering the house, the high ceilings (2.70m) are striking, along with the folding doors to the living room and kitchen. The lighting plan has been designed beautifully throughout the ground floor and on the landing.
The very spacy living room with fireplace has folding doors to the garden in the back and alongside the house, adjacent to the water. Various sittings have been created, to enable you to enjoy sun or shade any time of day.
The garden has a lot of privacy and, at the same time, offers an unobstructed view on the water. The atmospheric lighting in the garden is striking. The terrace is supported by piles. The garden was laid out all over again in 2015. The sunscreens on the back of the house are electrically operated. The Swiss cottage in the garden comes in handy for storing gardening tools.
The modern Bulthaup kitchen with free-standing cooker is quite stunning: the induction hob can be used freely, with as many pots and pans as will fit (a sensor detects the pans), refrigerator, freezer, dishwasher, oven, steam oven and extractor. It is almost too much to mention. A striking detail is the light dome in the live-in kitchen, which creates a very special light. The extra door in the kitchen, giving way to the garage/shed/pantry, is very practical.
The porch, provided with lights, is next to the dining room, with doors in between. A perfectly sheltered place to sit, summer and winter.
The first floor has two (in the past three) very spacious bedrooms and a bathroom with a double rain shower, bathtub, double washbasin and a television connection. There is a separate toilet room. The second floor has two more spacious bedrooms and a second bathroom with a shower, washbasin and toilet. There is also a separate room for the washing machine, the dryer and boilers.
The basement has separate heating and ventilation. It is presently used as a television room. There is also an additional storage room measuring 7 square meters.
The house at the Cannenburgh 1 has its own heat pump installation with solar heating collectors and two 400- litre boilers. This installation provides heating for the entire house, with floor heating, in the winter and it cools the house down in the summer.
No need to worry about parking your car: there are two parking places on your own premises, and the public road also has space to park cars.
