Description

This attractive and spacious semi-detached house (2014) was designed by renowned architect Piet Boon. The house is a gem on the outside as well as on the inside and offers optimal living comfort with a bright living room, five spacious bedrooms, two bathrooms and a lovely large garden on the southeast which borders on the water. A private driveway with carport completes the living pleasure!

About the neighbourhood:
This house is situated on a very quiet street in the Kastelenbuurt, a child friendly neighborhood with lots of greenery, water and play areas for children. The house is within walking distance of the shopping centre Westwijk, where, a.o., several shops, the supermarket, the pharmacy and the library are located. Childcare and primary school are a few minutes walk away, while secondary education is easily accessible by bike. The International School of Amsterdam is a 15 minute bike ride away. Amstelveen has many sports facilities, which are easily accessible by bicycle. The nearby beautiful Bovenkerkerpolder invites to beautiful cycling or walking tours. The bus stop is within walking distance, while the Westwijk metro station can be reached in 5 minutes by bike. The A9 motorway, which connects to the A2 and A4, is only a few minutes away by car.

Layout of the house:
Through the front garden you reach the covered front door. Spacious entrance with meter closet, two storage closets, neatly tiled toilet with washbasin, staircase to the first floor and access to the living room with open kitchen. The spacious, bright living room has no less than four pairs of doors to the garden. In the playfully arranged living room there is room for several seats and a six-person dining table. There is a wooden floor, which runs through the hallway without thresholds. The walls and ceilings are neatly finished. The entire building has underfloor heating. At the front of the living room is the beautiful L-shaped kitchen with double doors to the front garden. This has high gloss white fronts, a cooking island and a breakfast bar and the following appliances are available: electric cooker, microwave, oven, dishwasher, fridge and geyser (all Siemens).

First floor:
Through the beautiful hardwood staircase you reach the landing of the first floor. Here you will find three spacious, neatly finished bedrooms, a separate toilet with hand basin and the bathroom. Two bedrooms are located at the rear. One of them has doors opening onto a French balcony, the other has a closet with sliding doors. The third bedroom is at the front, next to the spacious bathroom. The white tiled bathroom has a bath, a walk-in shower and a vanity unit with a wide washbasin with two taps and a mirror. There are anthracite-coloured tiles on the floor.

Second floor:
Via the fixed staircase you reach the landing of the second floor with both front and rear dormer windows. Here are two more spacious bedrooms, a laundry room and the second bathroom. The master bedroom is at the back and has two Velux skylights. There is plenty of room here, next to a bedroom/sitting area, for the realisation of one or more workplaces. The second bedroom is at the front, next to the laundry room, and the bathroom is centrally located. In the laundry room is room for the washer and dryer. The central heating installation can also be found here. In the bathroom you will find a walk-in shower, a floating toilet and a vanity unit with mirror. Also on this floor is a wooden floor with underfloor heating.

Via the carport you can reach a (bicycle) storage which is attached to the house and has an exit to the garden on the other side. There is a closet with a central heating system.

Garden:
The house has a partly tiled, partly green front garden with carport and private driveway. The sheltered, partly hedged backyard (110 m2), has several terraces and borders the water. One part has a hardwood decking and there is also a lawn. Here you can enjoy the sunshine and eat outside, and there is plenty of space for the children to play. The garden offers a lot of privacy.
