Attractive semi-detached house with spacious layout and charming 1930s details. A large plot with a sunny deep garden facing southwest, a private driveway for several cars and a lot of potential due to a possible extension or a work/practice space in the spacious garage. There are 5 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms with jacuzzi and bath. In short: a fantastic family home in a child-friendly neighborhood on the edge of the old center of Heemstede, near all amenities and roads.

This 1939 family home was completely renovated at the time, without losing the characteristic details. The piping and electricity have been replaced, all walls and ceilings have been plastered and fitted with ceiling frames and the floors have been renewed. 10 years ago the attic is transformed into 2 spacious bedrooms with 2nd bathroom en-suite with storage space in the loft. The corner house was completely painted 2 years ago.

It is nice to live in the "Indische buurt". The house is located on a quiet service road (only local traffic) of the extension of the main road, the Heemsteedse Dreef in the direction of Schiphol/Hoofddorp. There are several good schools in the area, of which the "Kindercentrum Molenwerf" is within walking distance. They offer various types of education such as childcare, primary education and after school care. The children can walk independently to school from an early age via this safe road without having to cross the road. The neighborhood bakery is open on Sunday mornings for delicious fresh bread and a warm croissant. The walking forest "Groendendaal" with large children's playground and petting zoo, Speelbos Meermond and shopping street "De Binnenweg" are in the immediate vicinity. The largest outdoor playground in Europe, the Linnaeushof, is a 10-minute bike ride away. The sports facilities are also fantastic, with a swimming pool, 2 gyms, hockey, baseball, tennis and football clubs nearby, as well as a dance school and a skate park. The roads to Amsterdam, Schiphol and The Hague are nearby and the center of Haarlem can be reached within 15 minutes by bike.

Heemstede

Heemstede is a municipality and a town in the province of North Holland. Heemstede was formed around the Castle Heemstede, which was built overlooking the Spaarne River around 1286. Before 1296, Floris V, Count of Holland, granted Heemstede as a fiefdom to Reinier of Holy. During the 14th century, a village formed near the castle, which was destroyed and rebuilt several times in this period. A resident of this castle was Adriaan Pauw, who bought it in 1620. In 1653, Bennebroek split off from Heemstede, becoming a separate fiefdom.
