In the old center of Monnickendam, next to the large church, you will find this iconic, characteristic and unique national monument which is used as a residence with a very large back garden.
A beautiful monumental mansion with a large detached garage with a top floor (approx. 125m²) and a separate detached storage room (approx. 17m²) on a plot area of approx. 890 m². The house has a living area of approx. 421 m² (approx. 534 m² GFA).
This building, which dates back to 1743, was once used as a guesthouse and has a broad white façade, topped by a large wooden frontispiece. The arched middle section of which carries the city crest, is carved between griffins. The side pieces of the coronation are provided with rococo consoles.

Particularities of this beautiful monumental house with garage has been renovated and restored while retaining all "authentic" details such as:

- beamed ceilings (height of 3.70 m on the ground floor and 3.50 m on the first floor);
- marble floors in the vestibule and hall;

Monnickendam is a city with a great history. Monnickendam received city rights in 1355. This was the start of the expansion of the city.
