Didam is one of the bigger villages in the municipality of Montferland (province of Gelderland). Didam has a rich history, because there was already a German settlement here in Roman times.
Apart from a recreational lake, Didam also has a playground, a swimming pool and a shopping centre, as well as plenty of active clubs and associations. Didam is known as a shooting village, and counts seven ‘schutterijen’ or ‘schuttersgilden’ (marksmen’s clubs), who all host a special day of festivities in July or August in their own hamlet. Didam is surrounded by beautiful forests, which provide perfect spots to unwind. Prefer a bustling city like Arnhem? You’re there in 20 minutes by train.
