Who would not want this wonderfully quiet, rural living in the picturesque Jisp and then also a house with a new foundation, which has been completely restored and partly newly built. The façade has been completely restored and reassembled, thus the original character of the galanterie (here articles of fashion, taste and elegant trinkets were sold) shop is again well reflected with a modern extension at the back with many windows, so that the house is wonderfully light.
The house is located on the beautiful ribbon development of the village with its varied construction of farms, single-family houses, country houses and beautiful monuments.
Via the main entrance on the side you enter the spacious hall with stairs to the 1st floor. In the hall, the meter cupboard is equipped with modern machines, gas meter and water meter and the access to the toilet and utility room with washing machine / dryer connection, preparation for a kitchen block and the technical installation for the central heating system and mechanical ventilation. The L-shaped living room is oriented towards the front. The front facade has been restored as it used to be. In the middle is the entrance that is slightly behind the front facade. At the back there will be a large extension with a lot of glass. For example, the right side and the back are equipped with windows, so that there is a lot of light entry. Here you also have a real kitchen with sliding doors to the spacious, sunny backyard. The entire house is plastered on the inside (walls and ceilings).
Jisp originated around 956. They lived by fishing, as they were in open communication with the sea, hunting and some small livestock. Jisp was nominated around 1200 to become the capital of the Netherlands because of the prosperity that prevailed in the village. One of the first oil mills was the Walvisch and it was located in Jisp. After that many mills were built. Around 1642 Jisp joined the Whaling trade and various tear distilleries were established. Around the 18th century there were many warehouses, bacon warehouses, cheese warehouses, etc. present in the village. In 1941 the first primary school was established in the village. Jisp continued to develop with wider streets through which traffic could pass. The land was subsiding and the ditches were not properly dredged. This resulted in smaller and smaller boats. The village is now characterized by its ribbon development and the beautiful monumental buildings and the nature that is present here. Jisp is located in the Wormer- en Jisperveld nature reserve. Here you can enjoy sailing and going out. In the winter when it really freezes you have beautiful skating rides here which is definitely recommended. It is a pleasant village where you can live wonderfully and still have the large cities in the area. Jisp is like coming home and enjoying the peace and space.
If you want to live in a quiet village with peace and quiet, you should definitely take a look here.
