This attractive house with garage and garden is situated on a beautiful spot by the water. Along the Beemster Uitwatering, a canal between the Beemster and the IJsselmeer. Enjoy water, meadows and clouds. Swimming and sailing from your own garden. And all that just 25 car minutes away from Amsterdam.
The house was originally a bakery and converted into a home. With 115 m2 of living space, the house is cosy but certainly not small. Because in addition to this living space, there is plenty of storage space: under the beams on the first floor and in the attic that spans the entire house. And there is a garage of 16 m2 (with heating and electricity) that can be connected to the house. Because parking in front of the house is also an option.
- Ground floor
At the front access to the house and garage. Upon entering the house you step into a spacious hallway with staircase and access to the living room and the toilet.
The toilet with hand basin is located in a tiled room where the washing machine is. This room can be made into a second bathroom.
The living room has three windows at the front with free view. At the rear is a large window facing south and overlooking the garden and the water.
From the living room you enter the sunny kitchen at the rear of the house. With windows on three sides and a door to the outside. The kitchen is large enough to place a dining table.
The garage has a window and a door on the garden side.
- First floor
Spacious landing, bathroom with shower, sink and toilet, three bedrooms and lots of storage space.
From one of the bedrooms you have access to the roof terrace, from where you can enjoy the view even better.
The largest bedroom uses the space above the garage.
From all bedrooms you have a view of the garden, the water and the Beetskoogpolder.
- Storage attic
Via a loft ladder is the large attic accessible. This has a length of less than 10.3 m!
The backyard is located on the south and has an access door to a stone path next to the house to the Dorpsweg to reach. The garden has a wooden terrace at the water. A swim ladder invites you to take a dip. The continuously flowing water is of excellent swimming quality. If you do not have a boat, it is advisable to buy one. The beautiful surroundings lend themselves to boat trips through the polder or to one of the picturesque villages in the area.
From the garden, there is a wide view of the agricultural area on the other side of the canal. This includes an organic farm, also active in the management of meadow birds. Cows, godwits, lapwings, redshanks and even spoonbills are your backdoor neighbours. Under the smoke of Amsterdam, but not in it!
- Location and accessibility
Oudendijk is a ribbon settlement along the Beemster Uitwatering and lies between Hoorn and Purmerend. It has approximately 450 inhabitants.
