Abcoude and this neighbourhood in particular is characterised by a growing number of young families. There are also good recreation facilities in the immediate vicinity. The area around Abcoude is popular among walkers and cyclists. Along the water of the Angstel and Gein there are beautiful cycling and walking routes while the Abcoudermeer and the areas near the recreational beach is also a good place to be on summer days.
