Extremely large and bright corner property located in the popular Oostelijk Havengebied area. This impressive property (175 m2!) was designed by the famous architect firm Claus en Kaan. The property is an extremely complete city property with lots of rooms, 2 bathrooms, 2 parking spaces, roof terrace and patio. The house has high ceilings and a charming bay window overlooking the city; the perfect property for architectural design lovers. You can easily add a second entrance for a separate office, au-pair or studying child.

Don't miss out on this opportunity to view this great house and location.

Ground floor:
Entrance, at the front the first bedroom with an en-suite bathroom with walk-in shower and washbasin. This room an also be used as home office/practice or an au pair. Next, the utility room/pantry with washing machine connection and a washbasin. The utility room has access to the private parking garage where you can park two cars and your bikes.

First floor:
Hall, separate toilet, large living room with kitchen-diner (SieMatic). This floor has a ceiling height of no less than 3.25 meters and has gorgeous American oak flooring throughout, which has recently been lacquered.
This living area is extremely bright and airy due to the large windows at the front of the living room and the sky lights in the open-plan kitchen. The low window ledge is very broad, so you can easily sit there, read a book or enjoy the view. The bay window at the side of the property offers a great view of the bustling city.
The broad Belgian hard-stone stairway leads up to the second floor.

Second floor:
South-facing patio, which offers lots of privacy. Two large bedrooms, the largest of which is at the front and includes a washbasin. This room can be easily devided into 2 bedrooms. Recently renewed bathroom with bathtub, walk-in shower and double washbasin. Separate toilet. This is also where the air ventilation system is situated.

Third floor:
The luxurious third floor was added in 2008 and is where the master bedroom is situated. You could add a third bathroom here. The sliding doors of this beautiful bedroom can be fully opened, along the full width of the front façade. This means you can practically ‘sleep outdoors’ during hot summer days. The roof terrace is 21 m2 and overlooks Rietlandpark and the waters of 't IJ in the distance.

The location:
The Oostelijk Havengebied used to be an important port area and was regenerated and converted in a new urban residential area in 2000. The area has lots of character due to its rich history and is now one of the most popular areas in Amsterdam. People from all over the world visit the area to admire the modern architecture. Here you can see a mix of new-build properties, old harbour buildings, original keys and water.

The former transhipment area with freight train tracks is currently the open plan and child-friendly Rietlandpark, an area with lots of greenery, playing and sports facilities. The park is the first place you see when you enter Oostelijk Havengebied from the city centre. Only the tracks of tram 7 are still there.

Fred Petterbaan is an otherwise low-traffic street with just a pavement, cycle path and park on your doorstep. The area has a variety of shops, for example in Brazilië shopping centre, sports facilities, primary schools, day care facilities, markets, bars and restaurants,
as well as excellent public transport links with a frequent service (tram 26 to Amsterdam Central station and tram 7 to various destinations including Artis Zoo, Carré theatre, museums and Leidseplein). There are also various buses just around the corner. The city centre and central station are both within easy biking distance. The A10 motorway can be reached via the nearby Piet Heintunnel. This former harbour area has sufficient docking areas for boats.

MVA neighbourhood information: Oostelijk Havengebied

Sporenburg is an artificial island that was built during the 19th century. The area owes its name to the use of railroad territory by the Dutch railroads. Since the 1990s the area has been redeveloped into a residential area. The neighbourhood has some architectural eye-catchers such as - the red bridges and The Sphinx, a massive residential complex which had to attract families with children to the area.

Amsterdam is the largest Dutch city, the capital of the Netherlands, and the nation's financial, business, cultural and commercial capital as well. Since its founding in the 12th century, Amsterdam has evolved from a small fishing village into one of the most important ports in the world during the Dutch Golden Age. Museums like the Rijksmuseum, the Van Gogh and the Stedelijk also give Amsterdam serious cultural credibility. Amsterdam's compact size, cycling lifestyle, diverse population (more than 170 nationalities), English-speaking natives, abundance of green space, reliable public transportation system and central location within Europe mean it's not only a great place to visit, but also a great place to live.
