Middenmeer is diverse: the northern part is from the 19th century, the middle part was built during the 1920-1940s and the southern part was realized during 1955 and 1960. Two shopping area can be found within this area. One consists of shops and can be found alongside the Middenweg and the other one is situated on the Christiaan Huygensplein.
