You enter the apartment on the second floor via the spacious and well-maintained staircase.

Immediately upon entering, the high ceiling catches the eye. WOW what a spectacular space!
The current owners have completely and tastefully renovated this floor in 2017 and equipped it with a new layout, new floor and new kitchen. They also renewed the electrical installations, water and gas pipes and the ceiling was fitted with recessed spotlights. It is now one large open space with the staircase in a logical place, creating a practical division between sitting and dining area.

The kitchen is a feast for every cooking enthusiast. Modern, spacious, luxurious and equipped with all necessary built-in appliances. There is a sink with Quooker tap, built-in dishwasher and a gas stove with wok burner and extractor. The fridge and separate freezer and Miele combi steam oven and a Miele combi microwave have been cleverly built into the high section. There is plenty of storage space and the whole is finished with a sleek light gray composite worktop.

The toilet is separate, spacious and has a fountain.

Via a spiral staircase you reach the third floor, where there are 2 bedrooms, a spacious bathroom and the sun-drenched roof terrace.

The centrally located bathroom has a very efficient layout and features an enormous walk-in shower, bath tub, sink, design radiator and second toilet. Various niches have been created and the room is sturdy and tastefully finished with metallic look design tiles.

The bedroom at the front is spacious and has a large built-in wardrobe. The room at the rear is currently used as a laundry room, but can also serve very well as a nursery or home office.
From this room you reach the square roof terrace. This fantastic outdoor space offers enough space for a lounge area and / or a dining table and you can enjoy the sun until 6.15 pm in the afternoon!

The top floor can definitely be called the master bedroom. A beautiful space in the ridge with the authentic beams in sight. This room is also spacious in size, making it easy to create an extra workplace.

The finishings of the apartment are good, with the 2nd floor being completely renovated 3 years ago. The floor is a solid oak herringbone parquet floor. Central heating system and electricity facilities have been renewed, including water and gas, all walls and ceilings are plastered / fitted with wallpaper and the glazing is partly insulating, partly single (on the living floor).

The building is very well maintained, the foundation was restored in 2005.

MVA neighbourhood information: De Weteringschans

This area is known as the quiet part of Amsterdam Centrum. Amsterdam East is an environmentally friendly area with canals and important cultural buildings. These characteristics make this part of Amsterdam ideal as a residential area. Unlike downtown this area consists of many young couples who are starting with their careers. East and the eastern islands and the old harbor-area is still relatively vacant, but that will change in the upcoming years with the Weesper- and Plantagebuurt still in development.

Amsterdam is the largest Dutch city, the capital of the Netherlands, and the nation's financial, business, cultural and commercial capital as well. Since its founding in the 12th century, Amsterdam has evolved from a small fishing village into one of the most important ports in the world during the Dutch Golden Age. Museums like the Rijksmuseum, the Van Gogh and the Stedelijk also give Amsterdam serious cultural credibility. Amsterdam's compact size, cycling lifestyle, diverse population (more than 170 nationalities), English-speaking natives, abundance of green space, reliable public transportation system and central location within Europe mean it's not only a great place to visit, but also a great place to live.

Your purchasing agent knows the market like no other

When you enlist the services of a purchasing agent who is affiliated with the MVA or NVM, you can be sure he or she knows all the ins and outs of the relevant market. Buying an apartment in Amsterdam is different from buying a house or a detached villa. In case of an apartment, you do not only have neighbours to your left and right, but often also above or underneath you. That means the ground on which the property is located belongs to multiple people. This can lead to complications when you’re trying to figure out the extra costs before buying the apartment.
