About the neighbourhood;
The quiet residential area of Zijdelwaard lies in the north of Uithoorn, a township on the edge of the Groene Hart, away from the crowdedness of the Randstad and surrounded by water. You can find different sports facilities like a public swimming pool and several gyms within 10 minutes by bike from the apartment. The centre of Uithoorn lies on the edge of river de Amstel, with cosy cafes, restaurants and shops within 15 minutes by bike. Different supermarkets and schools are within walking distance of the flat. Although Uithoorn does not have an NS-station, the city is still reachable by bus from Hoofddorp, Amsterdam or Schiphol Airport. The house is also perfectly reachable by car via N-roads and the A2 or A4 or even by bike, in about 30 minutes you can reach Amstelveen and Hoofddorp.

Laying of the house;
You enter the apartment building in a central hall, where you can find the staircase that leads you to the second floor. You can find number 28 in a small corridor, where you can enter the house. When you walk through the front door you enter a hallway with access to the first floor, toilet, guest- or study room and living room. The L-formed living area has wooden floors, is spacious and gives you access to the tiled balcony with French door. On this side of the living room you can find the seating area. On the other side of the living room you can find a characteristic decorative fireplace and dining area, close to the kitchen. The closed off kitchen is spacious and has access to a second tiled balcony. The kitchen has no shortage of gadgets like a dishwasher, refrigerator and freezer, oven, 4-burner stove and built in wine rack.

First floor;
Via the staircase in the hallway you reach the first floor. Here you can find the bathroom, guestroom and elder bedroom. The elder bedroom has a built-in closet you can use for extra storage space or wardrobe. The spacious guest room is now used as a study room, but can serve both purposes well. The bathroom has a bathtub, shower cabin and a sink. There is also a connection for a washing machine and dryer.

Uithoorn

Uithoorn is a small town located south of Amsterdam. It’s home to cafés and shops and some lovely spots to walk and see an abundance of nature and history. The town is perhaps best known for its unusual city flag and coat of arms, both of which feature a figure emerging from a golden horn. The town’s name literally means ‘from the horn’ in Dutch. Going from Uithoorn to Amsterdam by car takes 30 minutes. Uithoorn has a 60-hectare nature reserve that surrounds a lake called the Zijdelmeer. It’s a fantastic spot for walks and its beautiful landscapes – including reed fields, grasslands, hay islands and a swampy forest - are home to a host of diverse wildlife.
