“When we first entered the house, I really got a holiday feeling: the mixture of the colors of the floor, window frames and the white walls in combination with the many large windows. The unobstructed view of the park finished it off! Many other homes sit close to a road, and I immediately noticed how nice and quiet it is to be further away from the surrounding streets.
The neighborhood is very nice to live in; there are many families with children in the area, so it is lively. Our four-year-old daughter loved going out and playing in the playground opposite the house with the kids from the area. I really love that there was often something to see when I sat at the kitchen table downstairs, or while working in the second floor room overlooking the park. Despite the lively character of the neighborhood, we have never experienced (noise)nuisance.
The location of the house was also ideal for us. There is a shopping center within walking distance. Furthermore, with the Van der Pekbuurt and the NDSM site only 5 minutes way by bike, there are plenty of restaurants and cafes nearby.
The house has a lot of potential because of the spacious layout of the bedrooms and the possibility for an extra living room on the top floor. For example, the house can 'grow' with the family: the moment the children grow up and have a greater need for privacy, the parents and children can both have their 'own living room'. The presence of two bathrooms offers a similar option.”
