Spectacular freehold upstairs maisonette (approx. 156m) with spacious roof terrace (approx. 18m) in a fantastic location in the much sought-after Hoofddorpplein neighbourhood (Amsterdam Zuid). The upstairs apartment was beautifully refurbished in 2016 under supervision of an architect using only high-quality materials. Despite the fact that the entire interior was changed in accordance with modern standards, the 1930's origin of the building is still palpable and makes this apartment a unique object!

Second floor:
Closed-off entrance on the first floor followed by the stairs that lead to the second floor and a good-sized hall where a small seat and an efficient wardrobe unit has been created. During the renovations the second floor was transformed into a floor with bedrooms only. This floor is divided in no less than four bedrooms and two bathrooms. The master bedroom is located at the front, has a big wall unit and a luxury private en-suite bathroom with an extra wide, made-to-measure vanity unit as well as a good-sized walk-in shower with two rainfall showers.

The two decent bedrooms at the rear both access the west-facing balcony both have lovely French doors. In the middle of this floor you will find a full bathroom with a good-sized shower and wash basin. The fourth bedroom is at the front. A spacious cupboard has been created in the long hallway for the washing machine and dryer with extra storage space to boot. The entire floor is fitted with a beautiful, solid oak floor.

Third floor:
The white-painted wooden stairs will take you to the living room where, upon entering, the striking steel front across the full width of the room will immediately catch your eye. The floor-to-ceiling windows ensure an extraordinary amount of daylight and seem to invite the beautiful terrace to be a part of the interior: this is where the outside meets the inside. The west-facing terrace is fitted with scaffolding wood and running water and has a robust black steel fence. In the centre of the living room a kitchen is fitted with various built-in appliances (Siemens Studioline), a cooking island and a double wall unit for extra storage space. The beautiful and efficient study that is also situated in the middle of this floor has a good-sized fixed cupboard with room for e.g. a printer and other office supplies. There is a trapdoor made in the ceiling with a solid folding loft ladder that leads to a big attic with ample storage space! And, last but not least: the sitting area: the current owners chose to have a dazzlingly high, exposed roof which gives a sense of loft living... Here too, a solid oak floor is fitted.

In short: this apartment has been finished down to the smallest detail resulting in a gorgeous turn-key upstairs apartment. So, don't hesitate and hurry to make an appointment with us for a viewing!

Location and accessibility:
The location of this upstairs maisonette is absolutely perfect: right in the popular Hoofddorpplein neighbourhood, around the corner from the Jacob Marisstraat. The Vondelpark is easily reached by bicycle via the Schinkel bridge, and shops and restaurants are within reach too along the Amstelveenseweg, as is the new British School building. By car you can easily reach the A10 ring road, which is one of the huge advantages of living in this location. You have the luxury of parking your car right in front of your own door. This neighbourhood is in a quiet area but, all the perks of Amsterdam are within walking distance!

Amsterdam is the largest Dutch city, the capital of the Netherlands, and the nation's financial, business, cultural and commercial capital as well. Since its founding in the 12th century, Amsterdam has evolved from a small fishing village into one of the most important ports in the world during the Dutch Golden Age. Museums like the Rijksmuseum, the Van Gogh and the Stedelijk also give Amsterdam serious cultural credibility. Amsterdam's compact size, cycling lifestyle, diverse population (more than 170 nationalities), English-speaking natives, abundance of green space, reliable public transportation system and central location within Europe mean it's not only a great place to visit, but also a great place to live.

Buying an apartment in Amsterdam is different from buying a house or a detached villa. In case of an apartment, you do not only have neighbours to your left and right, but often also above or underneath you. That means the ground on which the property is located belongs to multiple people. This can lead to complications when you’re trying to figure out the extra costs before buying the apartment.
