Description

Only the pro’s and not the cons of living in the city centre!

Wonderfully quiet and centrally located light 1 bedroom apartment (approx. 51 m˛) on the top floor with endless views, a stone's throw from Carré.

SURROUNDINGS
Lepelstraat is a quiet street in Plantagebuurt between the Amstel river and Weesperstraat, right behind Carré Theater.
A pictorial piece of Amsterdam as a great base to enjoy the city.

The hustle and bustle and facilities are easily found with various restaurants/bars around the corner (Bistro Baret, STAN & CO and Bar Lempicka), but also the lively Utrechtsestraat with its wide range of restaurants and (specialty) shops is within walking distance.

Various tram and metro connections run from Weesperplein (a few minutes' walk) and you can also leave the city by car via the S112 in about 10 minutes.

LAYOUT
Communal entrance on the ground floor, staircase with entrance to the apartment on the third floor.

Upon entering the apartment, a light and spacious feeling immediately dominates. The playful staircase to the fourth floor opens into the living room, the heart of the house. The living room is located at the front and features a sitting area with a spacious open kitchen with bar area, plenty of cupboard space and various built-in appliances (including gas stove, extractor hood, oven, microwave and dishwasher). The living room also has a storage and a cupboard for the washing machine and dryer.

At the rear there is a spacious bedroom with air conditioning and two handy fitted wardrobes.

Next to the bedroom is the bright and well-sized bathroom with toilet, double sink and spacious walk-in shower. From the bathroom there is access to the sunny balcony (South) with a view of, among other things, the Diamantbeurs.

At the entrance level there is a staircase to the huge roof terrace with fantastic views all around.

More information

MVA neighbourhood information: Weesperbuurt/Plantage

this area is known as the quiet part of Amsterdam Centrum. Amsterdam East is an environmentally friendly area with canals and important cultural buildings. These characteristics make this part of Amsterdam ideal as a residential area. Unlike downtown this area consists of many young couples who are starting with their careers. East and the eastern islands and the old harbor-area is still relatively vacant, but that will change in the upcoming years with the Weesper- and Plantagebuurt still in development.

Amsterdam

Amsterdam is the largest Dutch city, the capital of the Netherlands, and the nation's financial, business, cultural and commercial capital as well. Since its founding in the 12th century, Amsterdam has evolved from a small fishing village into one of the most important ports in the world during the Dutch Golden Age. Museums like the Rijksmuseum, the Van Gogh and the Stedelijk also give Amsterdam serious cultural credibility. Amsterdam's compact size, cycling lifestyle, diverse population (more than 170 nationalities), English-speaking natives, abundance of green space, reliable public transportation system and central location within Europe mean it's not only a great place to visit, but also a great place to live.

Your purchasing agent knows the market like no other

When you enlist the services of a purchasing agent who is affiliated with the MVA or NVM, you can be sure he or she knows all the ins and outs of the relevant market. Especially when housing prices are volatile, you can be assured that your estate agent is taking all the necessary factors into account.

Apartments

Buying an apartment in Amsterdam is different from buying a house or a detached villa. In case of an apartment, you do not only have neighbours to your left and right, but often also above or underneath you. That means the ground on which the property is located belongs to multiple people. This can lead to complications when you’re trying to figure out the extra costs before buying the apartment.
