HISTORY OF THE PROPERTY
Former canteen of the Koninklijke Nederlandsche Stoomboot Maatschappij (KNSM) built in the early 1950s. The building was used until the 1970s as a canteen for the shipmen who worked for the KNSM and then until the early 1980s as artists' workshops.
In the 1990s, the building was redeveloped into 7 unique and creative loft apartments.
Meanwhile, the building is rightly a municipal monument and still reminds us of the flourishing post-war shipping industry of Amsterdam.
The house is located on the car-free Levantplein on the KNSM island. A child-friendly environment with many playgrounds, squares, bathing jetties and water sports.
Shopping center Brazilië has an extensive range of shops and facilities. Within walking distance of the trendy Czaar Peterstraat and Veemkade.
Nieuw Noord, including restaurant Hangar, Hotel de Goudfazant and film house FC Hyena, is easily accessible by ferry.
