Very bright and practically laid-out apartment in the popular and bustling De Pijp area.

In one of the greenest and quietest streets in this popular neighbourhood, you can find this charming apartment on the first floor with its own entrance, a deep balcony and a south-facing garden.

AREA AND ACCESSIBILITY
The apartment is located in the Oud-Zuid district in the Pijp area. For the connoisseurs and enthusiasts: in the Frans Halsbuurt. This is a particular and extremely charming part of the Pijp area. This neighbourhood is centrally located in the Pijp; however, it is quieter and greener than most of the surrounding streets.

As soon as you walk out the door, you'll find everything you need at your fingertips. In the immediate vicinity are many good restaurants, coffee shops, nice shops and boutiques. Supermarkets and the famous 'Albert Cuypmarkt' and the lively Gerard Douplein are also just a stone's throw away. The Museumplein, with its famous museums and the Concertgebouw, is also just around the corner, just a few minutes' walk away. In addition, the home is very centrally located in relation to the centre of Amsterdam. In just a few (cycling) minutes, you are in the heart of the Centre, the Utrechtsestraat and the Vondelpark.

Public transport connections are excellent. Within walking distance of the home is a tram stop on the Ferdinand Bolstraat and two stops of the North South metro line, which means that you are at Dam Square, Amsterdam Central Station or South Station within a few minutes.

The Quellijnstraat has no parking spaces for cars, only loading and unloading areas. This makes it relatively quiet and there is a lot of space for greenery in the street. The neighbourhood pays a lot of attention and care to the various gardens. There is plenty of space for playing children, pedestrians and cyclists. You can park your car in the 'Albert Cuyp' parking garage. The entrance to the garage is 100 meters from the apartment. A parking permit is required in this area. The municipality of Amsterdam indicates a current waiting list of four months.

LAYOUT (see floor plans)
Through the private entrance you enter the hall of the apartment.
The bedroom is at the front. The living area can be closed off from the sleeping area with frosted glass sliding doors. Thanks to the large windows and sliding doors, the room is very bright. There is enough space for a double bed and a wardrobe. At the rear is the living/dining room, the bright kitchen and access to the balcony through patio doors. The balcony was renovated in 2020 and also extended and is now no less than 202 cm deep. The balcony is covered and sheltered, so even when the weather isn't great, you can still relax here.
From the sunny balcony, you reach the back garden via a staircase. A beautiful terrace was built here three years ago with Bankirai hardwood. In the garden, under the balcony, there is a large cupboard with storage space for garden items, for example. The garden and balcony are south-facing, so there is sun almost all day long.

The kitchen is equipped with various upper and lower cabinets, a practical worktop in concrete colour and various equipment is available, namely; a 4-burner gas stove, dishwasher and fridge/freezer combination. There is also space for a combi oven.

In the middle of the apartment is a spacious bathroom. This is equipped with tiling to the ceiling, a sink, walk-in shower, toilet and a washing machine connection.

In short: a charming and bright apartment with a lovely balcony and a south-facing garden!

More information

MVA neighbourhood information: Oude Pijp

De Pijp is vibrant and very much on its way up. As can be expected of an area that is centred on the nation’s most famous outdoor market Albert Cuypmarkt, this Amsterdam neighbourhood is famously diverse with over 150 nationalities represented. By the time the NZ-lijn underground metro is finished, De Pijp’s gentrification process should be complete with the always strong student population giving way to yet more families of young creatives and professionals. Albert Cuypmarkt Yes indeed: the Albert Cuypmarkt is not only the ‘kitchen of Amsterdam’ but also the place to witness the city in action. There are also many hidden treats to be discovered: innovative buildings built on the principles of Theosophy.

Amsterdam

Amsterdam is the largest Dutch city, the capital of the Netherlands, and the nation's financial, business, cultural and commercial capital as well. Since its founding in the 12th century, Amsterdam has evolved from a small fishing village into one of the most important ports in the world during the Dutch Golden Age. Museums like the Rijksmuseum, the Van Gogh and the Stedelijk also give Amsterdam serious cultural credibility. Amsterdam's compact size, cycling lifestyle, diverse population (more than 170 nationalities), English-speaking natives, abundance of green space, reliable public transportation system and central location within Europe mean it's not only a great place to visit, but also a great place to live.

Apartments

Buying an apartment in Amsterdam is different from buying a house or a detached villa. In case of an apartment, you do not only have neighbours to your left and right, but often also above or underneath you. That means the ground on which the property is located belongs to multiple people. This can lead to complications when you’re trying to figure out the extra costs before buying the apartment.
