An ‘eengezinswoning’ (single-family house) is a type of home that is meant to be inhabited by one family. Its most important characteristics are that it is located on the ground floor, and it does not have any upstairs or downstairs neighbours. Examples of single-family houses are ‘rijtjeshuizen’ (terraced houses), ‘vrijstaande woningen’ (detached houses) and ‘twee-onder-één-kapwoningen’ (semi-detached houses).
