Location is very nice. Centrally located in a quiet (side) street in East between the Amstel and Linnaeusstraat with all amenities within walking distance. The Oosterpark and Frankendael park are around the corner. The Beukenplein and the new shopping center Oostpoort offer a complete range of various shops, caterers and restaurants. The choice of restaurants in the area is very diverse, from Maxwell, Louis Louis, Bar Bukowski, to Hotel Arena and C Amsterdam.

Accessibility is very good. There are many forms of public transport in the area, both the Amstel station and the Muiderpoort station are a short distance away and so is the metro. The A10 ring road is quickly accessible by car via the s112 and also via the S113 with the historic Middenweg-Linnaeusstraat. The car can be parked in front of the door (paid and / or permit system).

The Transvaalbuurt lies between the Transvaalkade, The Wibautstraat, The railroad Amsterdam, Muiderpoort and the Linnaeusstraat.
