Located on one of the most beautiful streets of Amsterdam and directly at the Vondelpark is this monumental semi-detached city villa of approx. 350 m² with lift. The adjacent garage is accessible from within. This unique villa has a sunny garden on three sides as well as a large roof terrace with magnificent views of the Vondelpark. The six bedrooms, four bathrooms and multiple living spaces are distributed across four floors.

The entire building was fully renovated in 2021 and is equipped with all modern forms of comfort and luxury, using high-quality materials. This means the authentic details are interwoven with modern living comfort and materials. The property is situated on private land, the plot size is 382 m².

L.P. Zocher, who also designed the Vondelpark, made the original design for the Willemspark villa district, which is still one of the most prominent neighbourhoods in Amsterdam. Those who wanted to build and live in the beautiful Willemspark – like some of the founders of the Vondelpark – had to meet strict urban planning and aesthetic requirements. In 1899, architect Theo Sanders designed ‘eene dubbele villa’ in the leafy Van Eeghenstraat on the edge of Vondel Park in the prescribed 'Willemspark style'. He did so at his own expense and risk. One of the villas became his own home.

The garage and the entrance are accessible through the spacious front garden. The wide entrance hall, with a very high ceiling and stained glass windows with ornate sunflowers, provides access to the home by way of a marble staircase. The entire villa features beautiful oak parquet flooring with underfloor heating, air conditioning, lift, video intercom, top cooling, an alarm system and recessed spotlights. In addition, electricity, climate control and lighting are connected to the home automation system.

Entrance level
This floor has an impressive height of no less than 3.8 m. The original en suite with recessed lighting provides a natural separation between the living room with gas fireplace at the front and the fantastic living kitchen on the park side. The kitchen consists of a tall cabinet wall and large cooking island, and is very fully equipped, including a large refrigerator, freezer, two ovens, Bora induction hob with integrated extractor, dishwasher, wine climate cabinet and a Quooker. From the dining table there is a fantastic view into the greenery of the Vondelpark.

Due to the large windows at the rear and the tall windows at the front, the entrance floor is an impressive and bright living space.

The hallway contains a separate toilet, wardrobe and the lift that takes you to the upper floors.

Garden floor
The garden floor is 2.4 m high and currently consists of a very spacious room, the adjacent garage, a storage room with washer/dryer connections, a separate toilet and a utility room. The spacious room has both windows overlooking the front garden and doors to the backyard. Because of the current layout, this space can easily be divided into a bedroom and an extra living room, a media room or a playroom. This room also has the necessary preparations to realise a second kitchen and bathroom.

The fantastic garden is accessed via the double French doors. Because the garden is located on three sides of the property, the sun can be enjoyed at any time of day.

The garage has room for one car and it is also possible to park on the private driveway, which is closed off from the street by an electric gate.

First floor
The first floor can be reached by lift or classic staircase. This floor features the master bedroom with French doors that open up to the covered balcony overlooking the Vondelpark. This room also contains beautiful wall frames and panelled doors, creating a beautiful blend of authentic and modern.

The en suite bathroom is covered with beautiful tiles and equipped with a walk-in shower with both a rain shower and hand shower, double washbasin, bathtub and toilet.

The master bedroom is in direct connection with the very charming front room with a special bay window containing stained glass. There is also a nice view into the Van Eeghenstraat from this bay window. This space lends itself well to a very spacious walk-in closet room. If desired, this space can easily be closed off from the master bedroom to create a separate bedroom/study.

This floor has an impressive ceiling height of no less than 3.3 m.
Furthermore, there is another (bed)room and a second bathroom with window overlooking the park on this floor.

Second floor
On the second floor are two spacious bedrooms, two bathrooms, an extra room and the storage room with the technical installations. Both bathrooms feature a luxury finish and are equipped with a washbasin, toilet and walk-in shower with black accents.

The landing receives nice natural light through the side windows and the skylight to the roof terrace.

Roof terrace
Through the electrically operated glass skylight, you can reach the spectacular 35 m² roof terrace with a magnificent view of the neighbourhood and the Vondelpark. The roof terrace comes with the necessary preparations for a pantry and sufficient power points.

The Beethovenstraat, Van Baerlestraat and P.C. Hooftstraat are considered the most beautiful shopping streets in Amsterdam, with many exclusive stores and specialty shops. Closer to home, in the Cornelis Schuytstraat and on the Willemsparkweg, there are also many luxury shops, including wonderful wine shops, butchers and greengrocers for daily shopping. There are also a large number of renowned restaurants and bars in the area. The Concertgebouw and the major museums of Amsterdam – Van Gogh, Stedelijk and Rijks – are all within walking distance of Van Eeghenstraat 76.

Amsterdam is the largest Dutch city, the capital of the Netherlands, and the nation's financial, business, cultural and commercial capital as well. Since its founding in the 12th century, Amsterdam has evolved from a small fishing village into one of the most important ports in the world during the Dutch Golden Age. Museums like the Rijksmuseum, the Van Gogh and the Stedelijk also give Amsterdam serious cultural credibility. Amsterdam's compact size, cycling lifestyle, diverse population (more than 170 nationalities), English-speaking natives, abundance of green space, reliable public transportation system and central location within Europe mean it's not only a great place to visit, but also a great place to live.
