Velp is a town in the municipality of Rheden, located in the eastern province of Gelderland. Velp borders the towns of Rozendaal and Rheden and the city of Arnhem. With its 18.300 inhabitants, it is easily the biggest of the seven towns that are part of the municipality Rheden. Velp is situated near the A12 and A348 roads, and along the train tracks that connect Arnhem to Zutphen. It also offers many beautiful walking routes. De Veluwezoom is the oldest national park in the Netherlands. The forest, heath, sand drift and estates are ample reason for a beautiful walk or bike ride here.
