Wassenaar is located in the centre of the Haaglanden area. There are plenty of interesting sights and activities here, ranging from culture, the dunes, the beach and shopping to a casino and several tourist attractions. Wassenaar consists of a village centre surrounded by a wooded area with lots of villas and manor houses. Many of these originated as summer houses for wealthy city dwellers. Apart from gorgeous villas and manor houses, you can also find the Museum Voorlinden here. This is a private museum for modern and contemporary art on the Voorlinden Estate in Wassenaar.
