Westervoort is a town and municipality in the Dutch province of Gelderland. Westervoort’s history goes back to the Middle Ages. The church tower, which dates from the 13th century, is one of the oldest witnesses of local construction activities. Westervoort is located to the south-east of Arnhem, to the north of the Nederrijn river, and to the east of the IJssel river, at the exact point where it splits.
