Description

A modern, silent and convenient apartment on one single floor (2nd) with private elevator access in the centre of Amsterdam. The apartment is in excellent condition and decorated with high quality materials, such as a wenge wooden floor throughout.

The many front and back side windows over the entire width of the apartment make it a very bright and pleasant place. The large living room extends into a fully equipped open u-shaped kitchen. Behind the kitchen is a separate laundry room with extra storage space.

There are two bedrooms at the rear of the apartment, both with fitted wardrobes. Between the two bedrooms is a study / baby room. From the study / baby room and from the master bedroom you can reach the balcony. The balcony is approx. 10 m2 and is equipped with a table and chairs. It gives a beautiful view of the quiet ‘Lijnbaansgracht’. There are two bathrooms. The first bathroom has a double sink, shower, toilet and bidet. The second bathroom has a sink, toilet and bathtub.

The property is very centrally located. The tram stop 7, 10, 16, 24 and 25 are very close to the apartment. It is also possible from the 'Leidseplein' to take buses or from the 'Weesperplein' to take the metro.

The neighbourhood of the apartment is characterized by charming shops, restaurants and a lot of cafes. You can find these among others in the Utrechtsestraat, just around the corner. The Weteringbuurt is situated between the cozy neighborhood 'De Pijp’ and the canals of Amsterdam centre. The Museum square with The Rijksmuseum and the Van Gogh Museum are within walking distance, just like the ‘Leidseplein’ with its terraces, cafes and other entertainment venues.

An extra storage of approx. 5m2 is situated in the basement of the building. This storage is dedicated to the apartment and can also be reached by elevator for easy (bycicle) access.

More information

MVA neighbourhood information: De Weteringschans

This area is known as the quiet part of Amsterdam Centrum. Amsterdam East is an environmentally friendly area with canals and important cultural buildings. These characteristics make this part of Amsterdam ideal as a residential area. Unlike downtown this area consists of many young couples who are starting with their careers. East and the eastern islands and the old harbor-area is still relatively vacant, but that will change in the upcoming years with the Weesper- and Plantagebuurt still in development.

Amsterdam

Amsterdam is the largest Dutch city, the capital of the Netherlands, and the nation's financial, business, cultural and commercial capital as well. Since its founding in the 12th century, Amsterdam has evolved from a small fishing village into one of the most important ports in the world during the Dutch Golden Age. Museums like the Rijksmuseum, the Van Gogh and the Stedelijk also give Amsterdam serious cultural credibility. Amsterdam's compact size, cycling lifestyle, diverse population (more than 170 nationalities), English-speaking natives, abundance of green space, reliable public transportation system and central location within Europe mean it's not only a great place to visit, but also a great place to live.

Enlist an MVA/NVM estate agent when renting in the Netherlands

An estate agent’s area of expertise is not limited to buying and selling properties. When looking for a property to rent, it is also wise to enlist an agent. He or she can advise you about which kind of property is best suited for you, and which area to go for.

Apartments

Buying an apartment in Amsterdam is different from buying a house or a detached villa. In case of an apartment, you do not only have neighbours to your left and right, but often also above or underneath you. That means the ground on which the property is located belongs to multiple people. This can lead to complications when you’re trying to figure out the extra costs before buying the apartment.
